Pumpkins

The kids have had Thursday and Friday off this week. So we decided to take the kids to Payson to get their pumpkins. It really was a very cute little place. There was a petting zoo, my personal favorite. All sorts of booths to look at. We went on a ride behind a tractor and then the kids picked out their pumpkins.

Ok so I have a random cow story. This little calf was only 2 days old and he loved me. He kept licking me, sucking on my fingers, and following me. I know kind of gross when you think about it, but oh so cute. Anyhow I totally had a flashback of my mission.

One of my companions and I were walking across this huge field. There were a few boulders and a few trees sporadically on this field. Well we were talking about nothing important and we heard a loud noise behind us.

When we turned around we saw that three cows were charging us. Well of course we screamed and took off running. My companion was able to scramble up onto a boulder and I kept running. For those of you who know me well.....I don't run. I finally decided that I was just going to have to die, because I could go no further.

When I stopped I closed my eyes and just stood there and waited. Nothing happened so I opened my eyes and was face to face with a cow. I saw one of the other cows had run passed me and I had no idea that my companion was stuck on the rock because the other cow was with her.

The cow that was in front of me snorted, sniffed me, and then licked my face. GROSS!!! I thought my companion was going to die laughing.

Anyhow the little calf reminded of that fun little adventure I had a lifetime ago!!

Playing At The Park

Well we just decided we needed to hurry up and go play before the snow comes. It was a beautiful day and we were able to go for a nice walk and the kids played hard at the park. It always makes me sad to think that soon, we all have to hibernate. Oh well, we at least have pictures so we can remember the good weather!

Nathan loved the slide!

Hee Hee Look at Mary's hair!

Of course the dog had to climb up to be in the pic.

Visit To Price

My Mom came into town in July for my brother Marc's bday. While she was here we were able to go to Price to visit some old friends. Here are a few pics from that fun visit. I am horrible with names...however the pic of he two babies cracks me up. They were totally fighting over the chair. Then the pic where my brother Chad is holding his baby Rylee is awesome....can you say Flock of Seagulls. Her hair cracks me up!!

More Weddings For The Westovers!!

My little sister Alison got married in May to Aaron. Hooray we lived!! It was the hottest day ever and we were melting. It was great seeing how happy they were and I am glad we were able to be there.

The reception was in my parents backyard and it really was beautiful. I love being with family and friends. It was a blast being able to hang with those I love and for such a happy occasion!!

Mary Graduated!!

So maybe I'm not so good at this whole blogging thing. I guess it's better late than never. Last May, Mary did indeed graduate from Kindergarten. It was blazing hot, but the little program was very cute. Of course Mary's cap was eighty sizes too big, so it continually fell off. She was really excited that Nathan and I came and she was stinking cute!!

A Dogs Life!!

The third picture is what happens when she is left alone all day. She empties the garbage and lines it all up on the floor. As you can see she is a very busy puppy!!

First Grade Patriotic Show

Jacob had his first play of the year. All of the first grades sang patriotic songs, and had diffent parts explaining the history of our country. It was actually very cute.

Jacob was so excited he was actually dancing as we were walking into the school. It was fun seeing him enjoy himself. I must confess however I went to this with a bad attitude. I could think of so many different things I wanted to be doing, but in the end I loved it and I was really proud of him.
