Just Breathe

I decided I didn't want to be one of those moms who just stays at home with the kids. Ok honestly I don't do well staying home day after day. So I decided to take the kids up to the Provo Canyon up by Vivienne Park. They haven't had the chance to go up there so after school we went on a little adventure. Don't worry the kids made sure I brought snacks and drinks. The weather was gorgeous but because the trees were losing their leaves it was a HUGE reminder that winter is on its way. So sad!! Anyhow here are a few pics of the afternoon.

Politics AAAAGGGHHHH!!

Okay so I'm sick of politics and I want it to be all over!! I am tired of the arguing, and the putting down of other peoples beliefs. My whole thought is really we as American citizens have the right to vote. With that right comes responsibility. We need to study up on the candidates and all things that are trying to pass ie. prop 8, and really make a prayerful decision as to what we think is best.

I really didn't want to blog about politics because frankly people in general tend to take it all personally. So as a disclaimer this is meant as only my opinion and is not I repeat IS NOT directed at any one individual.

With that said, I am so proud of those of you who are putting yourselves out there in support of prop 8. It can not be a comfortable thing and I know many of you have felt the hate and backlash for what you are standing up for. I know many people keep arguing that we need to keep state and church separate but I know that for many of us the church is such an integral part of who we are that we can not and will not walk away from what we believe. So to those of you putting yourselves out there you have my respect and admiration.

I am so very saddened by the members of my faith who have chosen to speak out against the church because the church has asked its members to vote and to support prop 8. My heart is so said hearing members talk out against our leaders and really against God.

We really are in a time where we need to stand up for what we believe. I guess we are watching the sifting begin and I will be honest it hurts to watch. To those of you who oppose prop 8 I respect that and hope that you can respect my beliefs. We live in a country where we can and should feel safe being able to voice our thoughts, opinions, beliefs etc.

Phew I feel a bit better now....I think.

Pumpkins!!!!!!!!!

So after realizing that Jonathan wasn't ever going to get home in time to go to the pumpkin patch I decided to take the kids by myself. So we had heard that Santaquin had a great place to go to, so off we went. It really was a lot of fun and the kids seemed to enjoy it.

I'm not going to lie I was ready for a nap at the end of our little adventure. Oh yeah when we were riding in the trailer behind the tractor this is the funny little conversation I had with Nathan.

Nathan "Julie I don't know who made this trailer."
Julie "Me either."
Nathan "Hmmmmmm I think it was Jesus."
Julie " Ummmmm probably not. I don't think he came to the trailer making place and made one. But he made the earth and that's where the wood came from."
Nathan " How did he make the earth and the wood?"
Julie " Wow look at all of the pumpkins!!"
Nathan "Yeah."

Phew I totally dodged that question. Lol!!!

Honeymoon in Oregon!!!

We had the chance to spend most of the week in Newport Oregon. It was beautiful, relaxing, and a ton of fun. We were able to see three lighthouses, do some shopping, and most importantly visit the Tillamook factory!!

Opening Presents With Family

My sister Alison was the scribe and wrote down what the presents were and who was so kind in giving them to us.

These people are complete strangers....where did they come from? Nah its my Aunt Pam, Brother Chad, and cousin Paul.

Ooooooooooh an Ice cream maker. I love ice cream........ What to make first.

My nerdy brother Eric and nephew Christian. He is so adorable.
This is my cute little Grandma. I just really loved this picture of her smile.

This made me laugh. My Grandma is pushing my little cousin Ander on her walker.

Party On!!!

The reception was a blast. So many friends and family were there and it was so much fun sharing this day with them.

Ha I love that my niece and nephew passed out!! When I get the real pics of the whole day I will share more.

Sept 6...D-Day

This was the best day of my life. I was able to share it with so many people that I love!! It was hot, I was in a dress all day, and I still wouldn't have changed a single thing!!
